WORLDLINK TO OVERSEE ALL INFOMERCIAL AND DIRECT RESPONSE SALES FOR FOX NETWORK'S SATURDAY MORNING "WEEKEND MARKETPLACE" BLOCK
Los Angeles, Calif. December 18, 2008 - Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) and WorldLink, one of the world's leading and fastest-growing multiplatform advertising sales firms, have entered into an exclusive advertising sales representation agreement. The announcement was jointly made today by FOX's Jon Hookstratten and Toni Knight, Founder and CEO of WorldLink.
Under terms of the agreement, WorldLink will oversee all infomercial and direct response sales for FOX's two-hour Saturday morning program block "Weekend Marketplace," which commences January 3, 2009. The block will air from 10:00am to Noon on most of FOX's 200+ affiliates.
"FOX is happy to have WorldLink serve as the exclusive ad sales representative for Weekend Marketplace," said Hookstratten, FOX's Executive Vice President of Network Distribution. "We have partnered with them through various divisions of the company on long-form sales efforts since 1997. They are the acknowledged leader in direct response programming, and their expertise will benefit us as we move forward on this new initiative."
Knight added, "We are thrilled and honored to have been selected as FOX's exclusive sales representative for 'Weekend Marketplace.' FOX is an exceptional brand and with 'Weekend Marketplace,' they have created a unique and powerful opportunity that we are excited to represent. Marketers who air in 'Weekend Marketplace" will be showcasing their products in a high-profile daypart on television's No. 1 network. Moreover, this block offers marketers incredibly broad reach at a time when viewership is increasingly fragmented."
