WORLDLINK AND CNN EN ESPANOL U.S. SIGN EXCLUSIVE REPRESENTATION AGREEMENT FOR ALL DIRECT RESPONSE SPOT ADVERTISING SALES
LOS ANGELES, February, 3, 2003 - WorldLink, one of the world’s fastest-growing full-service media sales firms, and CNN en Español, CNN’s 24-hour Spanish-language news source, have entered into an exclusive representation agreement for all direct response spot advertising sales in the United States. The announcement was jointly made today by Toni Erickson Knight, founder and CEO of WorldLink, and Donna Mastrangelo, vice president and senior executive producer of CNN en Español.
Under terms of the agreement, WorldLink will oversee all direct response advertising sales activities on behalf of CNN en Español’s U.S. feed, which features continuous Spanish-language news coverage of major world events, live breaking coverage supported by in-depth analysis, worldwide business and financial news, global weather updates, sports and feature programming on such topics as health, technology and entertainment.
Regarding the announcement, Mastrangelo stated, “We look forward to working with WorldLink to expand our reach and advertising offerings in the U.S. As the U.S. Hispanic population grows in number and importance, so does the essential need for them to be informed, in their language-CNN en Español is their bridge to what is happening both in Latin America and at home.”
